Got Pets?

Dogs: We welcome a maximum of two well-behaved, housebroken dogs at White Horse.

Horses: White Horse is one of the rare horse properties in close proximity to downtown Idyllwild. We can accommodate up to 6 horses with a large 110 x 70’ flat paddock shaded by large cedar trees with soft forest floor footing.

Inside the paddock are two 12 x 16 pipe stalls and one 16 x 30 pipe stall that adjoins the three-sided barn/shelter. All stalls turn out into the paddock, which also has two large double gates on either side to facilitate pull-through of trailers.

Your horses are visible right outside the front windows of the cabin. Trail access is 1.5 mile trailer ride up to Humber Park and the higher elevations.

Or, if you prefer, you can ride quiet blacktop streets directly from the cabin to access the Ernie Maxwell trail in about 1.5 miles. McCall’s Horse Camp and its trail access is a 10-minute drive from the cabin. Garner Valley and access to the Pacific Crest Trail is a 20-minute drive from the cabin.

About Idyllwild:

Aside from the hiking, fishing, and riding opportunities abundant in this mountain setting, Idyllwild is a very family friendly village, where kids can paint and fire ceramics at a local shop, attend fun/educational events at the County's Nature Center just outside of town, visit the skate park, or explore the creek right outside your back door at White Horse.

Mom and Dad can enjoy fine or casual dining, see a first-run movie, listen to live music any night of the week, or check out the Idyllwild museum showcasing the area's rich cattle country/mining heritage. The town of Idyllwild is completely surrounded by National Forest, County and State trails.
